The goalkeeper trains with his strikers to continue the game with passes in a pressure situation.
Pro-Tip by Roland Rasch
There are two types of pressure strikers. Type 1 presses until he is on the goalkeepers feet. Type 2 tries to anticipate the pass and thereby close the pass window. If the goalkeeper identifies this type, he may have a few seconds more to continue the game.
Pro-Tip by Peter Rasch
Always encourage your goalkeepers to use both feet when passing. Always integrate your goalkeepers into team training to improve their passing game, e.g. into the Rondo.
With passion and attention to detail, we've transfered our best drills into a unique and world-class set of training programmes designed to help experienced goalkeeper coaches and ambitious club coaches.
In 2014, I first asked Peter what it would take to have all his goalkeeping experience in a unified drill and video database. Now we're finally here and fortunately, I have no idea how many thousand working hours exactly went into this project.
